Intergenerational Healing Project

Intergenerational Healing Project, founded by Sharon Tiger, Wasiw, is dedicated to fostering collaborations that drive innovative human services.

With over 30 years of experience, Sharon serves as an ICWA Advocate and Project Director, leading this impactful initiative.

Sharon's expertise in program development empowers the project to leverage resources effectively, enhancing collaborations to promote positive social change within communities.

Kristin Perkins, Treasurer, Founding Member

Intergenerational Healing Project

Kristin Perkins serves as the Treasurer of the Board of Directors, bringing her diverse experience as a former CPS Social Worker and Police Officer to the role.

A dynamic leader in her community, she dedicates her free time mentoring youth within the Wasiw Tribe. She shares her invaluable knowledge and experience with other programs and is the Primary Advisor for the Dresslerville Red Bear Youth Council. She also brings expertise in grant writing, contracts, accounting, and tribal finance to the non-profit.

Kristin's commitment to empowering youth is essential to fostering growth and wellness for those around her.

Gloria James, Secretary, Founding Member

Intergenerational Healing Project

Gloria James serves as the Secretary for the Board of Directors, utilizing her dedication, knowledge, and experiences as a Wašiw she supports the efforts to revitalize the Wašiw language. Gloria is the daughter of Stewart alumni and a former student of Sherman Indian School.

She shares her knowledge and experiences with past Wašiw language teachers, including esteemed Wašiw elders like the late Bernadine James, Eleanor Smokey, Daniel McDonald, and Adele James from Dresslerville.

Her role as a former Cultural Monitor underpins her efforts to promote the rich traditions of the Wašiw community.

Intergenerational Healing Project (I.H.P) is an indigenous led non-profit that provides training and facilitates wellness workshops.

We strive to keep our traditions alive. The forums increase cultural connections to community.

WELLNESS WORKSHOPS

KEEPING TRADITIONS ALIVE!

I.H.P. facilitates workshops that include children, youth, and their families geared to increase cultural connectedness and resiliency.

I.H.P. is planning to hold an Indigenous women's gathering in 2026 and a youth gathering; date TBD. The gatherings will include cultural experts speaking on language, ceremonies, and leadership.

I.H.P. coordinates traditional skirt making classes, talking circles, beading, and, traditonal foods by levering resources in the communities.
